to Ca’Novae, the Tuscan farmhouse.
Ca’Novae is first and foremost a private residence where one or more bedrooms are made available to guests. As such, it requires from its guests the same respect that you have for your home and that of your friends and relatives. The rules to be observed are not only those established by law, but more simply those dictated by common sense, education and mutual respect.
These rules have been drawn up in order to guarantee everyone a uniform, orderly and peaceful use of the structure. These rules have a contractual nature between Ca’Novae and the Guest, therefore the request to stay and the acceptance of such request implies the full acceptance of this Rental Contract. Every guest is obliged to respect this contract as well as the rules established to guarantee the safety of the management and public order.
How to book
• Reservation request can be made directly from this site or via email, phone or major tourism booking portals.
After receiving the email CONFIRMATION of availability, we will wait for the payment of 100% of the total amount (bank transfer, Visa, Mastercard, ATM, Maestro and PayPal). The reservation is DEFINITELY CONFIRMED only upon receipt of payment.
• With the reservation you agree and fully accept the contents of the Rental Agreement.
• If force majeure prevents us from making the accommodation available to guests, Ca’Novae reserves the right to assign another accommodation with similar or better characteristics at the same price or, in extreme cases, to cancel the reservation and refund the amount paid, without the guest being able to make any further claims for compensation for any reason whatsoever.
Cancellation (including snow and weather conditions)
In case of cancellation of the reservation:
• up to 2 weeks before arrival: the deposit will be kept
• less than 2 weeks before arrival: 50% of the total amount
• less than 1 week: 100% of the total amount
• NO SHOW: 100% of the total amount; the room will be reserved until 11:00 am the next day.
• “Offers” and “Last Minute” rates are not cancellable and non-refundable and the entire stay will be charged.
• In case of early departure, the guest will be charged for the entire booked stay.
Reception
• As Ca’Novae is a small family business, there is no reception service available at all times of the day, so each guest is required to write or to telephone Elizabeth at least 24 hours in advance to advise of the expected time of arrival.
• Arriving at the property without having communicated your arrival time may result in long waits. This misunderstanding will not give rise to any complaints or claims.
• On arrival (check-in), each guest must present a valid identity document (passport, identity card or driving licence, photocopies are not allowed) for the registration required by law (including minors).
• The data provided will be treated in compliance with the confidentiality and security obligations established by law, will be used exclusively for purposes related to our activities and will not be disclosed.
• For minors who do not have an identity document, the head of the household will guarantee for them.
• Minors without parents or legal guardians will not be accepted under any circumstances.
• Without valid documents, we will not be able to accept the request for accommodation. Failure to comply with this requirement constitutes a violation of the provisions of the Penal Code and entitles us to require the immediate departure of the guest.
• Any extras, drinks, food, tax or services will be charged at the end of the stay.
Access to Ca’Novae
• Only registered guests have access to Ca’Novae and the surrounding area. For security reasons, it is not permitted to bring other people into the house than those included in the room reservation, unless specifically authorised by Ca’Novae.
• The road leading to the farmhouse is agricultural, therefore guests are requested to drive at a slow speed (max 30 km/h), giving priority to agricultural vehicles or vehicles in transit.
• The property has a private outdoor parking area which is free for guests. A covered area is available for motorbikes and bicycles.
• Ca’Novae accepts no responsibility for damage to cars or motorbikes or for valuables and money left unattended in vehicles.
Arrival (check-in) and departure (check-out)
• Rooms are available from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
• Should you not be able to arrive by 7:00 pm, late check-in is available upon request for an additional fee of 30 euro. Late arrival requests must ALWAYS be confirmed by Elizabeth.
• Check-in is NOT possible after 00:00 am, even for an additional fee.
• Rooms must be vacated by 11:00 am on the day of departure.
• In the absence of prior arrangements, if the guest leaves the structure with a delay, the guest will be required to pay a “late check out” fee equal to 50% of the daily rate. After 6:00 pm hrs, the guest will be charged for the whole night.
• Check-in outside these times must be arranged with the property and is subject to a 50 euro surcharge.
• In case of need to check out before 8:00 am, guests are required to communicate this the day before.
Breakfast time
• Breakfast is served from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.
• The promiscuity of the productions and the handicraft of the processing do not allow us to guarantee the absence of risks for severe celiac disease and severe food allergies. Please always inform us in advance of any allergies or intolerances. On request, we can try to offer you a choice of products adapted to your diet (gluten-free, lactose-free, yeast-free, vegetarian, allergy and intolerance-conscious), but our kitchen is not “certified” and the alternatives we propose may not be sufficient in serious situations; in this case, we recommend you to consult specialized facilities.
• Please indicate any health problems such as allergies to insect stings or known food intolerances, pollen, animals, asthma, health problems, specific pathologies, motor disabilities, etc.
• Ca’Novae declines all responsibility in case of allergic reactions or similar accidents.
Room cleaning
• Elizabeth or authorised personnel will have access to the rooms, if free, for daily cleaning and maintenance.
• Ca’Novae reserves the right to charge an extra 30 euro/hour to restore rooms that are too dirty (cleaning and sanitation).
• Any request for extra cleaning of the room will have an additional cost of 25 euro.
• Room rearrangement is done upon request, towels and linen are changed every 3 days, extra towel change on request has a cost of 10 euro.
• Any extra bed linen change has an additional cost of 20 euro.
• Bed linen and towels will ALWAYS be changed when a new Guest arrives.
What is not allowed
• Smoking is not allowed inside the house, but only in the garden, using the ashtrays provided and not throwing cigarettes on the ground.
• It is not allowed to use open fire in the house or in the rooms.
• It is not allowed to use any appliances for cooking, washing, ironing, heating, etc, or any other arbitrary use of appliances not provided by Ca’Novae, with the exception of electric shavers, hair dryers, mobile phone chargers and CE compliant personal computers.
• It is not allowed to bring or consume alcohol and/or drugs.
• It is not allowed to prepare and eat meals in the bedrooms, any extra cleaning will be charged to you.
• The use of the communal kitchen is not allowed. Guests are kindly requested not to enter the kitchen in the absence of staff, in accordance with local legislation.
• It is not allowed to take any object of the house, the bathrooms and the internal rooms of Ca’Novae outside the structure (for example towels, bath towels, etc).
• It is not appropriate to leave personal belongings in public areas, Elizabeth declines any responsibility.
Damage and disturbance
• The guest is obliged to respect the environment, equipment and furnishings of Ca’Novae.
• Any disturbance due to the total or partial lack of services such as electricity, water, heating, telephone line or Internet connection, which are not dependent on our will and any urgent and essential maintenance will not give right to any refund.
• In the event that the Guest finds any of the supplied accessories broken, he/she must notify us immediately so that we can replace and/or repair them promptly.
• It is not allowed to move, remove, misuse or damage the furniture.
• The Guest shall be liable for any damage caused to the furniture, electronic equipment and/or improper use of the accessories. All costs incurred as a result of the Guest’s failure to comply will be charged to the credit card provided at the time of booking.
Suggestions
• Guests are asked to respect silence at the following times: from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 11:00 pm to 8:30 am. Guests are expected to behave in a manner that does not disturb others.
• No responsibility is accepted for the loss, theft or damage of guests belongings left in the rooms, bathrooms and common areas; a safe is available for valuables. Ca’Novae accepts no responsibility for any valuables or money in the possession of guests. Theft and/or wilful damage will be reported immediately to the appropriate authorities.
• Anyone finding lost property is asked to hand it over to Elizabeth so that it can be returned to its rightful owner.
Respect for the environment
• You have chosen a stay in direct contact with nature, help us respect it and protect the environment by trying to limit water and electricity consumption. Ca’Novae has always been careful to respect the environment: for this reason it has opted for organic farming, has activated recycling, has adopted an energy supply system partly from renewable sources and has used efficient energy consumption systems.
• Guests are asked to check that water taps are properly closed (it is too precious to waste!) and to turn off lights when not in use.
• It is not allowed to throw papers, cigarette butts or any kind of rubbish on the floor; please use the bins provided in the structure.
• Do not leave battery chargers plugged in when not in use.
• It is not allowed to flush nappies or anything that could block the pipes.
• In the Montieri area there is a separate rubbish collection, therefore we ask you to separate your rubbish according to the method indicated.
Pet friendly
• 2 and 4 legged pets are welcome at Ca’Novae, we are happy to accommodate any animal provided it is well trained and used to being around other animals!
• The presence of the animal must be communicated at the time of reservation. Elizabeth reserves the right to accept the animal at its own discretion and in any case if it does not comply with what has been declared by the guest.
• Pets must have identification documents (microchip) and a health card.
• A daily fee will be charged for each animal according to the current rates.
• It is forbidden to leave pets alone in the rooms or to put them on armchairs, chairs, tables, etc. If there are any traces (hair, droppings or other) in the rooms or on the linen, the guest will be charged a fee of 250 euro for the cleaning necessary to restore environmental hygiene in the rooms occupied by the animal, or any other damage attributable to the behaviour of the animal.
• We trust you for a responsible and educated management of your pets, this for the respect of each guest of our structure.
• Each guest must be adequately equipped for the health and hygiene of his animal.
• Owners must meet the physiological needs of their animals and ensure that they do not disturb other guests.
• The animals are always and in any case under the sole responsibility of the guest, who will be personally liable for any damage caused by them to third parties or to the Ca’Novae facilities.
• Elizabeth reserves the right to terminate the accommodation contract at any time and without notice to those who do not comply with the above instructions.
• Spritz, a sweet cat, Tiamo, Eeva and Bea, three gentle Bernese puppies, live at Ca’Novae. They do not enter the bedrooms but run freely in the common areas of the structure.
Additional conditions
• Any problem must be reported by the guest to the Ca’Novae management, who will take immediate action to remedy the situation within the required time. Any claim for facts or events that may cause significant damage or, in any case, that may lead the Guest to request compensation for the damage suffered, must be notified in writing by registered letter with return receipt, to be received within 5 days of the event.
• Complaints made after departure and not previously notified in writing will not be accepted.
• In the event that the complaint is not made in the manner described above, the guest who leaves the accommodation before the agreed date will lose all rights to any refund and will not be entitled to any reimbursement of hotel or other expenses.
• Ca’Novae is in no way responsible for any accidents that may occur inside the property or for any insect infestation in the building or in the ground.
Reservation
• The reservation in Ca’Novae by the guest brings to all the legal effects the acceptance of these terms and conditions. Ca’Novae cannot be held responsible for the consequences of the guest’s incomplete acceptance of these conditions.
Compliance with the rental agreement is MANDATORY. Ca’Novae reserves the right to immediately terminate the contract and the stay in case of non-compliance with one or more rules. Any person found to be intoxicated and/or behaving in an aggressive, rude, disrespectful or harassing manner will be removed from the premises and will be required to pay for the entire stay.
